Martha vs. Mary Part 2

Thank you so much to those that commented and shared that you are "Martha" too. So now that we know we are not alone with our "martha-ness", what should we do about it?

...why is it so easy to worry rather than let go and let God? His timing is perfect, He may be slow to us but His plan is perfect and He's right on time. Sometimes He delays answers to prayer so we become desparate for Him not the need. Desparate to see Him.

"Haven't I protected you your entred life?"

I will tell you what I'm going to do, and I encourage you to do the same with yours...leave them where they belong...at the cross. God wants our worries... all of our worries. All of the unpaid bills, dirty houses, broken down cars, rent raising worries.

Give it to Him, when the enemy tries to push through, resist him and draw near to God. He's such a loving, faithful, Just God. I know on paper (screen) this seems so easy, but it's a choice we have to make, slaves to worry or the freedom of knowing finally we are worry free, if just for a few hours, we are free. God is in control and whatever happens, He is holding our hands.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope, and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

So true. We just need to leave our worries at the cross! I love that. God can handle our problems far better than we can. Thank you for this.

I want to see God as my source and seek Him with everything. I want to trust Him completely. I don't have to worry because God is always in control.

So true...I want to leave all my worries and burdens with Him and let Him be my peace and rest. It is a daily choice...sometimes more than once a day, but so worth it :-)

Amen, I tend to give my worries to Him and before I know it I've grabbed them right back. I guess it's just a practice of handing them back over and over again... and in the process we've established constant communication with Him over our concerns. Isn't that just what it's about? Praise you Jesus, our plan maker, our refuge, the lover of our souls.
Blessings,
Heidi

I lay my worries down, I find peace, I run back in and take them up and have a good ole worry again,
what if?
what next?
why??
I do just need to sit and say over and over "You Lord- your job, I will sit here with you doing my job!"
He is our plan maker, our refuge and the lover of my soul- He is big enough to trust. Thank you so much for this post today.Thank you sweet sister, prayers and hugs for you xx
In His Grace,
