Giving up control

As I was blog surfing today I came across a blog about surviving the "in-between times". I'm sure you know them, the times where you feel stuck, where you are just surviving. Going from day to day life. I feel like I'm just surviving. I am blessed that I have a job but my heart desires to do more for God.

I have a tendency to be very controlling in my day to day life, I know what needs to be done, when it needs to be done and I keep to that schedule. As I shift my perspective to what God wants, I see that maybe this "in-between" time is exactly where He wants me. I'm able to emerse myself in God's word, learning what pleases Him and I know as I focus on Him and give up my control, He will be able to move more freely in my life.

The day I gave my testimony, I gave up control. I knew I couldn't do it with-out Him, so I had to move out of the way and focus on Him and He was able to reach someone through me and my testimony.

I have a desire to help people, but I've been trying to plan and figure out the where and how and what. Today through another sweet sister's blog, God showed me He does not desire perfection, only that we be willing to move. He will be the director of our steps, "the author of our words". So once again as I get myself out of the way He's been showing me all day where to go and how to help.

It's all about God, as we move out of the way, give up control we will be amazed at the wonderful blessings, the amazing love God has for us. Soo I dare you to move friends, give God the control and see what He has for you today.

Amen! I want to be a willing and empty vessel for Him to use when and how He wants. Thank you for this!
