December 3rd - A Story of Hope

Today I'm sharing something that happened to my husband and our family last year on December 3rd. Please join me at Woman to Woman Ministries to see what happened and to see how God turned this event into something beautiful and amazing. This is not just a post for women..everyone is welcome.

Click here to see why this scripture is so so important to our family now...

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
Psalm 91

There's just something...

There's just something about being buried in a pile of leaves...

There's just something about jumping up to reach the tree that seems to tower over you, ...

There's just something about shuffling your feet through crackling leaves...

There's just something God is trying to teach me right now...patience, perseverance, and love. There's just something my children are trying to teach me right now...kindness, compassion, humility...

The fact that I will make mistakes, but Jesus makes it all better when I just come to Him and lay it down...

So will I stop trying to control everything, let go and just learn?

Yes...yes I will.

What's God teaching you right now? Are you listening? Are you learning?

It's all in the attitude

I woke up with an attitude of oh man it's Monday today. After my prayer and quiet time my attitude still was pretty awful. I think it's time to focus on some more blessings, God has so so blessed me this weekend and I want to share those with you..

1) The opportunity to sleep in just a little, Saturday!
2) A job for my husband on Saturday with my grandpa
3) A trip to a petting farm with my kids and my parents
4) Enough money to buy a couple groceries after my husband got home Saturday
5) An awesome worship service with my Church Family
6) An entire day at home with my husband Sunday
7) Afternoon nap time
8) Kettle Corn
9) Chocolate milk
10) A facebook messege from my husband who hates facebook/never uses facebook saying he loves me.
11) hugs and kisses from my daughter as she came running in my room this morning
12) The messege that Change Takes Time

God has so greatly blessed me, how can I possibly have a bad attitude this morning.
