Hope for tomorrow

I have had a lot of things on my mind latley. A lot of worries, a lot of wonders. My mind races a million miles a minute as I ponder the things of my heart so here's what I don't know.

I don't know how I'm going to pay off all these student loans that are past due as well as some doctor bills we just got collections notices for.
I don't know if my husband is supposed to try to find a new job or stay in the low paying "gopher" position he has now and let them walk all over him.
I don't know if we will ever get a house.
I don't know when Jesus is coming back to put an end to all this worrying.
I don't know how to be the full time mom my kids need when I'm so used to being the "weekend" mom.

Of all the things I don't know I DO know one thing is for sure ~ My God is still on His throne directing my steps and HE knows all about me. So here's a few "go-to"versus I keep hidden in my heart when I am looking for hope.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (emphasis mine)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (emphasis mine)

For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. Isaiah 43:1-2

God knows what we're going through. He wants us to come to Him with our worries, He wants to take them so we don't have to carry them. Go to Him today and cast your fears and worries on Him ~ because He loves you very much.

I'm waiting,
I'm waiting on You, Lord.
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord.
Though it is painful,
But patiently, I will wait
Waiting on You Lord, John Waller

Love that song. While we wait to find out what God has planned, we will still praise His name because we know He is in control and He has a plan. Great post Mandy!

Loves the verses you listed. Our hope is in the Lord and we can rest in confidence that He has everything under control.

The Jeremiah passage has long been a favorite of mine... but waiting for the tough times to pass has not. So grateful that He has it all under control as we wait.

I LOVE Jeremiah 29:11. God is the only way to get through these tough times. You've only been doing this 'no work' thing for a few weeks...give God time to do what He needs to do in you. He'll get you through for sure!

I love this post Mandy! We've all got our lists of unknowns, but all that matters is the One thing... the Hope we have in Him. Blessings!

Beautiful verses to think upon! When we are in the midst of a challenging season remembering His faithfulness is so important and can bring peace when we are tempted to worry. Thanks!

Those are truly wonderful verse choices Mandy. It's an amazing comfort when facing the uncertainties we come up against in life to know that God always has a plan for us, and is right there with us throughout.

Have a Blessed Day!
