Today I am featuring a guest post by Lisa of A Moment with God.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for 21 years and we have three beautiful children. I home school my youngest son and help my husband with his business. I am also actively involved in our church and have just begun leading worship. I also lead a womens Bible study. Basically, I'm just an ordinary woman who desires to be available for use by God to do extraordinary things. I started A Moment with God as a way to share the daily devotions I felt God was giving me. Thanks, Mandy for letting me guest post for you.
Who Will You Serve?
We all serve someone. There is no such things as neutral; no Switzerland in this life. Some may say they choose not to accept Jesus as their Lord because they want to be free. "Long ago you broke off your yoke and tore off your bonds; you said, 'I will not serve you!'" Jeremiah 2:20. But to turn away from God is not freedom. It is just an exchange of God's yoke for the yoke of sin.
We all serve someone. You are in partnership with someone; either the world or God. To be yoked with the world is to be in partnership with the prince of this world - satan. He offers misery, hopelessness, death, destruction, worry, fear, etc. In this partnership, you carry all the burden. But to be yoked with God brings freedom. He offers hope, love, joy, peace, forgiveness of sins and eternal life. In this partnership, God carries the burdens.
We all serve someone. "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."

I will choose this day to serve Christ! Great post!
Great post Lisa! The world can be a powerful draw, but I choose to serve the Lord!
Have a Blessed Day!
I like that--"to be yoked with God brings freedom." To me, there's no choice--I've tried both and the world brings bondage. I'm thankful for the Freedom way!
I want to serve only Him too! It's too hard to try to serve this world and Him at the same time. At our house we make it easy and choose to serve Him only!
Since I've been a believer I have chosen to serve the Lord not only in word but in my living, so that my living will not be in vain
It's true "We all serve someone" and we can't live with one foot in the world and serve God too. Thank you Lisa, great post!
